'EXCELLENT'
Strengths:
Ease of use and quality of pictures.
Weaknesses:
The manual could be better quality and could have a summary on the essential features to get you started. With all the anticipated flicking through it I covered it in vinyl.
Overall:
Felt comfortable from the start. Great feedback on each picture taken. Apart from technical info it shows blown highlights and lost detail in shadows which helps you learn how to improve.Live view and preview function excellent. Access to essential controls very obvious. Will have years of learning with all the features and yet even an idiot can shoot excellent pictures with the scene modes included.

'LOVE IT'
Strengths:
Easy and intuitive controls (I'm not a great one for instruction books).
Fast processing and very fast start up
Excellent battery life
Great quality shots from the start
Light weight
Weaknesses:
Rear screen is not adjustable
I haven't yet worked out the red eye reduction so that can be aggravating
Overall:
This is my first D-SLR having had an Olympus 8080 WZ which itself took great shots, so I guess I'm exactly the kind of customer that Olympus were looking for. From the moment I took my first picture, about 30 seconds after unpacking the kit, I knew I would love this camera. I've now taken hundred of photos in various different conditions, through windows, desert, landscapes, fireworks and parties and so far so good. The two lens kit was excellent value and provides me with the flexibility I need.
My two niggles are really only that but I really wish the screen was adjustable.
