'CHEAP 8MP OPTION'
Strengths:
Robust
Easy to use menus
Usual lovely Olympus colours
Lots of programmes and features
Weaknesses:
Auto white balance iffy [firmware upgrade]
Small buffer
Overall:
Still available in refurbished mode, the E-300 is a bit underrated. Good solid body - you either love or hate the shape. Slated for high ISO noise in most reviews but with correct exposure you can get useable ISO800 shots. Not a bad buy if the price is right.

'TOP NOTCH'
Strengths:
Feels very robust.
LCD has a very good viewing angle range, and is bright in sunny conditions.
Macro performance is very good.
Weaknesses:
Grip could be a bit bigger, its just a little bit too small for my liking, especially when i'm not using the strap.
The included lens isn't up to much, its not too good at long distances.
Overall:
If you were to go for this camera i'd go body only, and get a different lens than the one bundled (a Zuiko at the moment), although 4/3 lenses are still fairly hard to come by at time of writing as its a new format.
