'QUICK TO LEARN BASICS, BUT HARD TO MASTER'

Strengths:
Sheer amount of editing options available are huge. Its very easy to learn the basics. Lots of filters included with large amount of changeable settings, and theres more third-party ones too!

Weaknesses:
Obviously out of the price range for a lot of people. Quite a big step between learning and understanding the basics, and then up to the advanced features.

Overall:
Still the market leader, buy it if you can afford it.

'ONE OF THE BEST PIECES OF IMAGE SOFTWARE'

Strengths:
Quite easy to learn, despite what people say. Not just for editing photos, loads of features, and Mac and PC

Weaknesses:
You'll need a good spec computer to get the most out of it. If you're shooting in RAW you'll do best getting software designed for that, like Adobe Lightroom. Expensive

Overall:
Photoshop is the software that all other image-editors are working towards, in terms of features and the scope of creativity allowed. But its expensive to match. A lot easier to learn for beginners over its earlier versions.
