There are still more High Definition camera systems at the CES in Las Vegas, this time from Kodak. The company has announced nine new cameras in three key EasyShare groups and one new all-in-one printer.
The new 12 megapixel, 3x optical zoom EasyShare V1273 camera comes with the new Kodak HDTV dock, which allows easy viewing of still pictures on a HDTV screen. The £200 V1273 also sports a 3in LCD with Kodak's new Touch Screen Technology, simplifying picture taking, reviewing and editing. In addition to the V1273 Kodak has announced the EasyShare V1073 camera, also with touch screen, to its V-Series.
Kodak's M-Series line of EasyShare cameras has been updated, with four new models. Top of the list is the £130 M1033. This colourful, thin, 10-megapixel camera comes equipped with with a 3x optical zoom lens and 3” wide-angle viewing LCD screent. Additionally, the M1033 captures HD pictures and videos. It's joined by the EasyShare M763, M863 and M893 IS digital cameras.
In Kodak's Z-Series, The new £150 Kodak EasyShare Z1085 IS zoom digital camera is a high performance, 10 megapixel, 5x optical zoom camera with optical image stabilization. The Z1085 IS includes manual override features as well as automatic controls to easily capture pictures and videos. Kodak has also announced the EasyShare Z1285 zoom digital camera and EasyShare Z8612 IS digital camera. The V1273, M1033 and Z1085 IS are all expected to be available in the first half of 2008, according to Kodak. No more information is available regarding the other models as yet.
Finally, Kodak has announced a new ESP 3 all-in-one printer. Kodak has been making a strong case for honest ink prices, demonstrating in tests that its own printers cost on average half as much to run as its rivals. The ESP 3 will take advantage of those cost savings, but will also feature built-in Facial Retouch software for those wanting to improve their images but not fire up Photoshop. Also expected in the first half of 2008, the price for the ESP 3 has not been announced.
