Casio EXILIM EX-Z77 & EX-S880

Casio today announce the release of two new cameras - the EXILIM Zoom EX-Z77 and the EXILIM Card EX-S880.

Now you're probably fairly saturated with all the mumbo jumbo numbers and digits that prefix the flurry of cameras these days - so why would you want to buy one of these little numbers?

Simple really, locking into the current surge of online posting Casio have introduced a new “YouTube BEST SHOT mode”.
Sounds pretty quirky - a high-quality movie function that uses specific compression technology that saves video at optimum size and quality for YouTube.

Hopefully with the rapid movement in technology at the moment we might see cameras that can directly upload to sites such as YouTube in the near future without the need for a computer - now that would be pretty impressive.

Not to divulge too far from straight photography of course the EX-Z77 and EX-S880 offer 7.2 and 8.1megapixels respectively, come available in a variety of up-to-the-minute colours, 3x optical zoom, plus all the blur reduction, auto-tracking and face detection technology as you would come to expect.

No specific release dates or prices at time of press, but expect to see these on the shelves in the near future.

Review: Casio Exilim EX-S600
Not much bigger than a credit card, the S600 really is a pocket-sized camera, but does the 6MP camera suffer from trying to put too much gadgetry into too little space...?
Review: Casio Exilim EX-S500
A perfect go-anywhere compact camera that is capable of taking more than just point-and-shoot photos.
