The half way point in our massive advent giveaway. 12 prize draws down and 12 to go. It's time to bring out the big guns.
Drop in to a pro's studio and the chances are there is only one editor you will see running on their computer - Adobe Photoshop is the standard by which all image editing applications are judged.
Here's a secret. You don't need full Photoshop. For most photographers Photoshop Elements is better. 99% of what enthusiasts want to do can be done in Elements - and it's often easier and quicker.
I first saw Elements 5 demonstrated at Photokina and I simple couldn't believe the power and elegance of a package costing less than £100. From the gorgeous browser, to the clever anti red eye to the full feature set this would be my top choice for an editor for anybody interested in digital photography. Not only does it allow you to edit your pictures using industry standard tools, you can organise them and build amazing Flash web galleries too.
So here are my two tips for today:
Save yourself £500 on Photoshop and get a copy of Photoshop Elements instead from the Adobe store.
Save yourself an extra £70 by winning a copy by clicking here.
If you still aren't convinced, read the ThinkCamera review of Photoshop Elements 5.
Note: Prize is a copy of Adobe Photoshop Elements for PC or Mac - for PC we have version 5, for Mac it is version 4 because v5 isn't available until the New Year.
