Every now and again, a product comes along that isn't new, it's not revolutionary - it just does what it does so much better than any previous product that you have to have it. You'd think there was nothing new to invent in lens cleaning cloths. Well unless you've seen the very latest from Spudz you'd be wrong.
I've been using a Spudz cloth for most of this year. It's like your standard lens cloth but better. It's a high quality micro fibre cloth (pretty well the best thing you can clean a lens with) inside a special pouch with a hook on the end. Simplicity of the genius level! No more putting the cloth in your pocket and letting it get bits of fluff on it. No dropping it on the floor and getting grit on it. I have one of these permanently clipped to my camera case - every time I need it I just pop it out of the neoprene case and clean my lens with a beautiful clean dry cloth.
But the best just got better. The XL version now comes in 18% grey. Want to set the white balance to get spot on colour reproduction? Want to set your camera for the perfect exposure? You need an 18% grey card - or rather cloth. Instead of carrying a bulky grey card, carry a compact grey cloth that you can also clean your camera with.
You can buy the new 18% grey Spudz online but the nice chaps at LlamasPhoto have given us five of them to give away. Click here to enter.
