Canon EOS Discovery

If you are a Canon EOS user in the London area you may be interested in Canon's “EOS Discovery” series. Eos Discovery is a set of free shows that are aimed at users of the EOS SLR system and aim to increase skills and knowledge of the system, and the user's grasp of photography in general.

The shows will be presented by photography experts (including top celeb photographer Andy Earl) and will demonstrate how EOS is used in different circumstances like sport, fashion or reporting. Camera techniques will be taught as well as post-shoot workflow using iPhoto and Aperture.

The shows will take place at the Business Design Centre in Islington. The first is on Thursday 3 August from 6-8pm, and the others are both on Saturday 5 August at 9am-12pm and 2-5pm. Entry is free but places are limited, visit www.canon.co.uk/eosdiscovery to register.

Review: Canon EOS 350D
For amateurs and semi-pros who want fast results but plenty of room to learn and improve, the Canon 350D is light in body but heavy in features, it's the perfect first entry point into the wonderful world of Digital SLRs.
