Nikon Capture NX - the popular RAW converter specifically for Nikon DSLR users - has just been updated. Nikon claims the new v1.2 update of the program has increased the 'speed of opening of images'.
Other improvements include various bug-fixes for both PC and Mac versions, as well as a handy 'updating images' display in the title bar. As sometimes it was hard to work out whether Capture NX was processing an image or had, er, crashed, this will come as a relief to some users.
The software is available as a downloadable upgrade for existing Capture NX users or as a 30-day trial.
Nikon has also introduced a series of 20 tutorials (Capture NX tips and tricks) on its Customer Services site. These cover every aspect of Capture NX from using red-eye correction to batch processing.
Go to the Nikon website for more details on both the update and the tutorials.
