Gitzo have integrated advanced materials and production techniques to develop two new aluminium tripods - with weight certainly being the topical issue!
Key to the design is the top casting which is made from a new material called 'Soulid 238' - a compound 30% lighter than Magnesium, but just as strong.
The new casting is coupled with a Basalt fibre centre column - which is 20% lighter than aluminium.
