We don't like waiting around...hanging in queues, waiting for things to happen and all that malarkey.
It's the same when you're printing your images - you want a good quality inkjet, you'd expect to have to be a bit impatient? - not any more apparently!

Memjet's new technology
New inkjet printer technology was unveiled today by Silverbrook Research.
The company have prototypes of 4"x6" inkjet printers that spit out 30prints per minute - that's one every 2 seconds!
Not only that, there's talk of a 51" wide large format printer that churns through between 6inches to 1foot per second!
Could well step up the competition - should these prototypes be transferrable and affordable, it's said that existing companies - such as HP, Canon and Epson - will be looking to invest in the technology.

Sources say that the printers expect to hit the shelves for $200 or less - should this be true, a quick conversion means that's around £100. Impressive? - See for yourselves by checking out the videos on Memjet's site here
For real?
There's been a fair few questions raised however - there have been some suggestions that it could be a hoax.
Which seems unlikely - things have been getting faster and faster, and there's no reason that the printer can't operate at such speeds judging from the patented technology that Memjet have invested so much time in. One problem may be whether your computer can provide the information to the printer in quick enough time to keep print speed as rapid as it could be however.
That asides, it looks like a potentially exciting time for the future of printing. No more waiting around!
