The EX-Z70 is the latest release in Casio's range of EXILIM Zoom cameras. At 7.2MP the camera sits firmly between the 6MP EX-Z60 and the beefier 10.1MP EX-Z1000.
This release is mainly an upgrade to the EX-Z60, sharing its predecessors “Easy Mode” function, the user-friendly camera menu, and its cheeky little styling - this time available in black or silver. Easy Mode simplifies the shot taking process to three menus - image size, flash and self-timer, and lets users start learning how to use the camera straightaway. Full details about the camera are in the box below.
Even though the EX-Z60 was only released in February, a lot can happen in four months in the electronics market. The EX-Z70 has been released to keep up with these advances and offer a better camera to its users, although the more cynical amongst us could argue that the release is simply to keep in the high MP market. Whatever the reason, the EX-Z70 looks like a very stylish and user-friendly camera and we will have it reviewed here soon.
The EX-Z70 will be available in black from July and silver from August, with an RRP of £299.99.
