POTY Competition Round 2: The Winners!
By Mike Lowe
So now then! You may very well remember Round 2 to our Photographer of the Year competition - after many quality entries the votes are in and have been whittled down to the top 3 in our magical ThinkCamera.com number cruncher.

First Place
Reflection/Refraction by Harry Shepherd
Maybe you saw it coming, maybe you didn't... Either way, there's no denying the quality of Harry Shepherd's winner - it is quite simply on the money (or in this case the Olympus E400 DSLR kit!). Great technical aptutude here, really registers with the power of the image and the capacities of photography - what can be achieved beyond the human eye.
Good work and congratulations!

Second Place
Red Slinky by Graham Davidson
Wonderful studio work here - ticks all the boxes for composition, colour, line and form. What we're fond of is that it's one of the few entries to break out of the norm, whilst answering the 'Close Up' brief with great success.
A Kata HB-207 camera backpack is now yours!

Third Place
Red Eye by Michael Danser
We're really pleased that you guys picked up on this one - subtle as a thumbnail, an absolute stormer full res. The pin-sharp focus on this one is truly inspiring, add that to a slightly unusual but spot on composition equals a winning image without doubt.
A Kata R-103 camera backpack is now yours!

And if you think that was good - just wait until Round 3 - details to follow very soon!
