I have been asked to put a collection of Photographs and scans on to a DVD slide show. Not some thing I have done before, so I would like to ask if any one has any suggestions on software to do this?
I keep getting spam from ROXIO who seem to have a package that will do it.
Also any suggestions of where I can get royality free instrumental music to us as backing music?
I have just one small slideshow which you can see if you go here http://www.photodex.com/sharing/Select "High Flier" and you will need to enter "hssutton" bottom right where it says "Browse Member"
You may think the title a little strange, but both parents are airline pilots.
Jonathan, good to hear from you, yes I do have a MAC kicking around, but its the wife's and its hard to get hold of it. Also all the files are on my PC but I could setup a shared networked drive.
I will ask the powers that be if I could have it for a while.
roxio is a good one if u are running vista. been using it for a couple of months now
used to use ulead cd and dvd picture show 10, but when we upgraded to vista it wouldn't run properly and there was no upgrade for vista, so we changed.
found the ulead product easier to navigate, but maybe that was because we were more used to the layout and setup of the program.
I use premier pro or premier elements for this sort of thing both are full on video editing programmes. The elements version is about 60 quid last time i looked and is very easy to use and has a function that makes it easy to syncronise the slides to music. It also has several templates that can be used straight from the box or edited at will to give the DVD a menu system.
There was free 15 day trial version of Proshow Gold in Digital Photo in May, but you can get the same by downloading it from here. Worth looking at.
They also included 3 MP3 tracks of music free to use. Hardly Jean Michel Jarre, but free. If you want copies email me and let me have your E-address through the system.
