Hiya all, I am currently looking to upgarde to a DSLR and have decided instead of buying an entry level, to buy something a little more advanced.

I have narrowed my choice down to options the Sony A350 or the Nikon D80. I was hoping that someone could advise me which is the better camera out of the two.

D80 is probably more forgiving a camera than the A350 - the Sony 14mp really needs high quality lenses to get the best out of the sensor. D80 lacks liveview if that's important. Maybe the A700 could well fall into contention, as although it's more than a match for the D300, can be had for around £600 now...
