Great capture must have taken a few attempts or was it first time lucky??

Thanks Roger.  I've been taking photos of bubbles for the last 3 days now.  When the air looks still I ask my wife to blow bubbles (she doesn't always say yes though) and I tend to then take 50 or so shots and then see how they turn out.  So, yes, this is one of the best of maybe 300 or so.  I've found that f/4 on my 150mm macro lens works nicely.  Have to manual focus because autofocus doesn't see the bubble.  I've dowloaded a few to flickr, and getting lots of positive comments.  I am the "bubble master"!!!!

I think it was worth every one of the 3 days you made your poor wife blow bubbles to get this shot and I hope you bought her a very nice gift for helping you acheive this..

Thanks Sharon.  My wife (Sarah) is saying no to bubbles now.  I should have thanked her earlier and maybe then it wouldn't have come to this.  I'll buy her something nice, and then ask her to blow more bubbles.  Fingers crossed.......

Failing that...go and buy a bubble machine, some of the supermarkets are selling the summer toys cheap...I bought my grandaughters one last week for about 5 quid and another pound or so for a giant tub of bubbles......
