I need to get one of these new backpacks which i see everyone with these days, I`ve been having a look around and noticed the Tamrac 5585 series which looks about the right size for my needs and only at around £60.  Lowepro and Tamrac appear to be the leading kiddies in this range (I think?) and my needs are for durability, waterproof cover, to fit one or two camera bodys and a few lenses and flash guns, plus straps for Manfrotto tripod and monopod, any recommendations?

I got a 'Sling shot 100' for short walks  I holds most of me requirements ,it light & convenient to use.

Try the Kata Range, I am currently looking for a new one and have been so impressed with the overall quality that I have dismissed Lowe and Tamrac 'out of hand'. I have already purchased a small Kata bag for one of my Compacts and it is 'bombproof'. Unfortunately Billingham Bags do not 'cut it' for any 'Off-Road' adventures or Trekking.

I've got a Think Tank Urban Disguise to which I've added the shoulder straps. I wouldn't want to go back backing with it but it means I have the even load distribution of a back pack until I get where I'm going and then the convenience of a shoulder bag for access. I tried using my son's Lowepro back pack and found having to take it off every tiime I wanted something a pain.

Check out the well tried and tested Lowepro MIni Treker AW. I have one and a Sliingshot 300. The Mini Treker for some reason holds more than the Slingshot and can carry a Tripod.

The mini trekker is a great little bag, I loved mine. Very small though so I got a Tamrac 7 for £69 off ebay and it's allot more comfy on the ald back compared tto the mini T.
