I use a product called, "Zap-Shot" however I think it only works on the lower Canon cameras- I use the XTi.  It works great as it is a radio frequency remote so I don't have to be close or in front of the camera.  I can set up my camera and even camafladge it and be up to about 75 feet away, (I believe that is the range,).  I know there are other brand name  units out there - great for wildlife.
