I got another one today - still hoping someone might be able to explain how the problem was solved ...

Haven't received any more since the 19th.

Dates of last 3 newsletters received - 29/9/07, 10/12/07, 19/12/07  if that info is any help.

I'm thinking of buying a Canon iX4000 A3 printer. It seems rather cheap compared to other A3 printers so I'm wondering if anyone has experience of this machine, good or bad. I would appreciate info. I already have a Canon i865 which is in my opinion pretty reasonable.

Thanks in anticipation

Mike

Some times ISPs block e-mails for a time  if the spamming gets very heavy.

Tiscali did for about 3 weeks and then just reunmed again it gave the reason.  Also tiscali won't allow e-mails from' clearnet'  for some reason.

I can send an e-mail to a friend on 'clearnet' but tiscali won't alpw her e-mails to me to me

Things are going pear-shaped with the site. Before long, it seems it will go boobs up.

(trying to keep it decent for the ladies.....)

The warning came a little while ago. Everyone is now saying goodbye.

Hi Woody - thanks for replying - I sort of got this impression from reading various posts - although I have never posted on a regular basis I always enjoyed the 'banter' of the regular contributors - I just thought that I would give a post a whirl to see if the newsletters were in fact still being sent out and I was not getting mine - thank you once again - sadie xx

I too have not had a newsletter for some weeks now, Since i accused Alan of making off with the Nikon D60 prize!!

I hope Woody, you're not right , & the site is going arse-up, it has been most enjoyable chatting away, & being rude occasionally, what do you mean, "the warningcame a little while ago"? I should be very disappointed if it all died.

I 've just found this Forum, should I look for another?

Yes! Try PHOTO-PIC, or Focal Planet, or photography cafe, they seem to be thriving sites, although having said that, this one has only recently developed a terminal disease!

Well Harry, I'm not like the rest of you deserters!

I'm sticking with it to the end!

Hi, there, Woody, you stick with it ,old son, & good luck to you!

Love the pic, is it an old film still? looks like George VI, or perhaps the chap on the front of the old Players packet, been promoted!

Good to talk(?) to you again, Happy Christmas to you & the present Mrs Woodhouse!

& a very happy Christmas to all the other Think Camera fans, deserters or stickers, it's been nice knowing you all, specially my fave, the Lass from Bolton, Who shall be nameless!!

Same to you Harry, dear boy!

Sadly, even Fishingmagic has been given until the 19th of December and if there are no buyers, the lights are being turned off.

Mind you, anglers are used to fishing in the dark.

You digital photography freaks must have forgotten what it was like working in a darkroom, you're all giving up!

Pic is a still from Kind Hearts and Coronets, Alec Guiness in a multiple role.
