An excellent macro, Lynne.  I love taking fly pics.  I know they aren't the prettiest of creatures, but I'm always amazed by all the detail on their tiny bodies, and sooo much hair.   They're surprisingly obliging models too, especially when there is food around.  Congrats on your POTW. A worthy winner.

 Terrific! every detail of the horrible beast is revealed, one can only imagine the germs on its feet! Very good indeed, Lynne, the framing is pretty good, too.

I would never be able to shoot one of these nasty things before it flew away.... it may not be a "pretty" picture as such....but it sure does work out well.
