Clive, I've put it through Photoshop, done some levels and curves adjustments and sharpened it a bit. Not sure which I'd prefer now though!

Interesting shot all the same

Thanks Anthony, unfortunately I can't open the image that you prepared, is it me or is there a problem on the website?

Thanks anyway, I'm curious now....

Hmmm, it was there. I deleted from my h/drive after uploading it, perhaps thats whats wrong, I'll try again.

Hope this works. Its onto my gallery now too? I'll delete it from there later once you've seen it.

(It would PW better if I had a higher res image.)

How kind you are for re-working this image again, it's amazing what can be done. I still remember the ice "in the flesh" as it were, and it actually looked like something between the two. My image didn't do the blue justice and yours presents it rather stronger than it was. Great image though, and not as "plastic" as some re-works I've seen.

I'm actually a bit of a sceptic when it comes to manipulations with software. I'm not a purist but looking through all the galleries on this site, I really do think some of the images have been pushed beyond "improvement".

Anyway, there's some wonderful work in these galleries, I have a favorites folder on my photos drive, almost all of yours went straight into it!

I will follow-up on many of the photographers to see what gems they come up with in the future. I'm new to this site and as I'm far from being a "photographer" I have never had the confidence to upload anything before, and I'm very encouraged to get any reaction at all from you experts! Many thanks for your attention and of course the enthusiasm of Sylvia..... she's so attentive of all contributors to this site.

PS If you were serious about a higher res version, I'll post one in the same gallery...... but please don't feel obliged to waste your time on it!

Thanks to you both!
