I liked the preview  then saw the dog in the full size image and that made the picture for me.

I love this picture not just because it a great shot but also because I spent a lot of time in these hills when I was younger and it brings back a lot of great memories.

Cakey what did you do to get the display to show properly I can only see half the picture until I open the comments box?

It seems to have solved itself. Now I can again click on the pictures on the gallery page and they open first time. I guess the problem has been fixed. Thanks anyhow.

What an absolutely super shot! Sharp from front to back, well exposed, the lake makes a lead-in line, plus the dog looking that way,Well Done!!

One small point, what is the dog doing??????

is she pooing, or peeing, or merely just about to sit down??

 Have I won todays prize????

This is a truly wonderfull shot. I keep coming back and having another  look, there is so much detail and it makes you feel that you are there and wishing the dog could talk and tell you what she is thinking.

Thank you all for your kind comments.  My dog, Harvey, had just turned round for a look really and I took the opportunity.  This is one of my favourite places in the Pentland Hills and we go there a lot.  We are lucky to have it so close to Edinburgh.

Best regards

David
