Fantastic..!

Thank you. It was a fantastic sunset just a case of being in the right place at the right time though I wish I had taken the tripod with me.

I think wothout the tripod you got a great shot. For me its the sharpness of the subject against that terrific sky that makes is such a great shot. Although it works well as it is, it would be interesting to see what impact a different crop would make with more space on the left where the subject is facing, just a  thought. But then looking again the centre position works very well so I don't know

Yes I see what you are saying. I did have a think about croping but each way I tried just didnt quite seem as good - well thats what I thought but I am obviously biast

Cheers

I think your bias is justified. I had a little play with the image to see for myself if a different crop would have a different impact and it seems that you were right its best left as is.

Hi Geoff,

this is a beautiful picture that you've captured. I love the silhouette figure which is so slender and the light just surrounds it perfectly. I hope you don't mind? But I feel that you could afford to take two third off from the bottom to create a more panorama effect and I feel this would emphasise the figure even more instead of trying to lift up out of all the black from the bottom?

This is being said in a most kindest way I know how?

Best regards, and all the best with your lovely image,

Sylvia

Thanks Sylvia - been playing about with it as you suggested - yes I think you are right cropping some of the dark off the bottom and couple of degrees rotation to even the land makes it a much better image - I think I am missing the artistic eye sometimes.

Thanks for the tips

That is much better Geoff and I am glad I didn't offend, lol!

This is much better I never thought of trying a panoramic version when I had a play around myself. I guess that is the main point of these forums to share ideas and this is a good exaple of the results.
