Good effort, just a tad soft focus round the eyes, but still a good one.

???????????????????????????

Where's the tufts on its ears?

Maybe it's a ginger grey.

Thanks for the comments .  You are correct Woddie that ear tufts are absent in Greys but Red Squirrels moult twice a year and in the summer the ear tufts are either small or absent hope that helps.

It does thanks Goeff.

We have a squirrel in a nearby tree and that's very ginger though. Many people think it's a red, but it is a grey. So it wasn't a joke I poking at your picture, which is very nice of course.

Similarly, about 10 years ago, we had a white blackbird, other than its tail, on the local playing fields. Weird or what?

LOL It is a wonderful world you live in Woody!

It is a lovely shot BTW. I like it very much.

Thanks for the coments Simon. Yes Woody there can be quite a bit of colour variarions in both species - I have not spotted any of the black variation yet - dont know what areas of the country that are in. Probably never get as far north as here as the greys have never got here yet.

Geoff
