How can I take pictures of chandeliers without them turning into balls of orange mass? I want to try and capture their 'diamond' quality, looking all glittery when they seperate the light. I haven't a chandelier to practise on and am going to a hotel where they have a beautiful one and I won't have long to get a great picture. The room isn't particularly bright so with them off everything becomes quite shadowed.
Should I try the chandelier off and allow the camera flash to do its work? I'm open to suggestions - made harder on any offers of help by the fact that I only have a Canon eos with the standard 35lens.... and a tripod
