This is a beautiful HDR work and the whole picture is so peaceful! I think you should enter this in the place competition actually if you haven't already?

I was looking in the water thinking you saw a carp going through your swim, I know you're a keen angler. Is it you favourite water or something?

Other than that, there's no point of interest and the horizon is dead centre. It's HDR (yaaawwwwwnnnnn) and I'm afraid to say I find them tedious these days. HDR doesn't make great pictures, it's the content that makes them so.

If you drop the camera a little and include some immediate foreground, perhaps keep that island a little further to the left, maybe there could be a picture. However, as an angler you'll have plenty of other opportunities I'm sure. You should get on fishingmagic.com put it on there and you'll have them all salivating. It looks a nice lake.

I like the HDR on this it has brought out the best of the lighting without being overdone.

Woody..   Hiya..    Yes this is one of my favourate fishing lakes,   there wasnt much thought that went into the shot as I was just after a few sets of 7 differently exposed pics to play with.   Thanks for the constructive critism,   points noted

Roger...   Thanks,    I was really happy with the results with the light,    it was the tone mapping that made the light what i is me thinks

Sylvia...   hehehhee  Nice thought but Woody has slightly put me off the idea of entering this picture in a comp. hehehehe  Like I said though...  what Woody has said was constructive so Im not sore about it.      As for youuu  Sylvia,   I have been n had a look at your pictures and I think they are lovely,   I might show you some more of my featherd freinds piccys

I'll look out for the feathered friends, thanks for that Matthew .

As far as the competition is concerned? You can't go wrong in entering it as most times it is based on how many people like it and tastes just varies so much. But there is nothing stopping you from going out again and get four more pictures of places and enter those as well and see which ones people go for?

Also, thank you for your kind compliment on my work too, I appreciate that.

Sylvia
