So, any questions on the first assignment? We'd love to see some pictures and some comments from the testers... A special album for Sony testing pictures will be set up right away. Post your images there (this also applies to those who have a Sony Alpha camera and want to partake, too).

The album - Sony Pictures - is up now. Post your images there, please!

Alan, is this a broad brush including KM A-mounts too - I've only limited access to partner's A200 - ok, she'll kill me if I use it again!

Carl, If you want to post into the Sony Pictures album... be my guest. Technically, the album is for the three testers of the A350, but if you have an Alpha, you're in!

Alan, that's a sidestep if ever I read one Suppose I could rely on the fact that the Dynax/Maxxum range is known as Alpha in Japan as sufficient leverage! May half inch Amber's A200, as a sort of comparitive issue.....

Looking forward to seeing the test shots from these c'mon guys where are they? lol

I've got a bunch of mine up on the Sony Pictures album! First impressions have been sent to Alan, who'll no doubt put them up in due course.

I'm a newbie and don't have an angle viewfinder magnifier.. but with Sony Alpha 350, who needs one...

Have started to upload photos taken with the Sony, well only one at the moment, more to follow on Monday. One thing I really love about Live-view is that when using the camera in manual mode, you get far better control over exposure, as it's quite easy so see if there is detail in the shadow or conversely if the highlights are blown out. Today i spent a couple of hours in Lincoln Cathedral. Will post a selection sometime on Monday. Harry ps is the Sony Album 'live' ? I went through the upload procedure, but got no confirmation that the image had uploaded, nor is it viewable in the Sony Album

Harry, Your pictures are in the album. Look forward to more!

Have just uploaded another. will upload more this evening. It's rather strange, but I edited my previous post last night, saying that several images had been uploaded and that my original problem must have been a glitch at ThinkCameras end , Harry

You have until the end of the week to finish the first assignment now. Like buses, another one will be along soon.

There's a new assignment now, so let's comment on the first one. What did everyone think? I thought some of the themes were approached, but what we tended to get was high shots of one element and low shots of another, rarely the two viewpoints of the same subject. In fairness, this is as much a failing of the assignment as a criticism of those taking the photographs. I'd have loved to see how Keith would manage to take a picture of the telegraph pole and the amusements from above, but both are good 'under' shots, anyway... We also got a lot of churches and ruined churches, which is probably only to be expected. They are big things, after all and you can get close. But overall a good first assignment. We're particularly impressed with lyramando's fungi shots, especially as a newbie and not one of the official testing trio... well done for butting in there with the good stuff. Now let's see how you get on with the next one. I suspect Dennis will have more to contribute on this one, too...

Hey Alan, thanks for the comment.. just to correct -- it's Lyra Manalo I really enjoy the liveview of A350 -- makes it easier to ask someone to take my picture too
