From the three photos you posted I think this is technically the best. The exposure of all elements looks good with no blown out highlights/sky or underxposed foreground. The DoF also looks good with both the foreground looking sharp and well detailed as does the midground (is that a word?).
I am surprised that wind can do this to rock even with sand and grit blowing around it must have taken millenia.
It's an amazing place Roger. It's impossible not to photograph it. Thanks for the technical comments, although you know I'm "pot luck" with the Sony compact from a settings point of view.
What's happening to this site? I've been away for a while suffering from some sleep depravation with the new baby! It seems to be grinding to a halt!
