Yes Sharon.

On Wednesday there where approx 75 adult seals, but only a few pups. If you're coming over I would give it another week and then if possible come mid week.

If you can only make it at weekend make sure that you get here early, as many visitors come and parking can be a big problem.

Thanks for that Harry..Hopefully the weather will improve in a week or so..I think it will probably have to be a sunday but if it is then we will try and get there for first light..or soon after..Will keep in touch..

Looks like a great place to see seals.  I got within maybe 30ft of seals on the Isle of Man this summer, and it was such an incredible experience.  I sat on a rock that was sticking only a foot or so out of the water, and the younger seals swam closer to get a look at me.  I can't really put into words what it felt like to get eye contact with them - especially because they were wild.  Having just checked Donna Nook on Wikipedia, it looks like you can get really close.  Must go there sometime, but perhaps it's going to get busier and busier.  Good shots of the pup Harry.  Bet they're easy to overexpose, as they look kind of reflective.  Richard.

Richard at the Donna Nook reserve the water is approx half a mile away, so if you want photos of them in the water you've got a long wet trek. you can only go to the waters edge at weekends as the RAF use the reserve as a bombing range.

Since the locals started uploading images (that includes me) the reserve has become extremely popular at this time off year with many 1000s of visitors coming to view the seals, so it's necessary to arrive early, especially at weekends.

The seals started arriving late October and will be there until well into December. I.m not sure how long the individual seals stay there, but the pups do not enter the water until they loose their white fur, which I guess would be around one month. which means mum goes on quite a long food free diet.
