Nice to have more cameras with zooms starting at 28mm, but i would question the wisdom of cramming 12.1MPx into such a small sensor :( Especially as previous Panasonics haven't had the greatest noise performance.

Will be interesting to see how the image quality is.

I have the Panasonic FZ50, 10mp,which I think has to be the absolute max for this size sensor. I am very happy with it,produces good fine detail, good colours,& not too much noise. I dont understand the fuss about noise, grain was (is?) very noticeable at 400ASA & above,& one accepted it as a fact of life.
