Hi Sheila copied thsi from a review should answer your question.
The S6000fd appears to have the same F2.8-4.9, 10.7X optical zoom lens as the S9000 and S9100, and that's a good thing. It has a focal range of 6.2 - 66.7 mm, which is equivalent to 28 - 300 mm. That's a pretty nice range, giving you both wide-angle and super telephoto coverage. The lens is threaded for 58 mm filters and accessories.
i currently have a fiji film finepix with 3x optical zoom but want the s6500fd with 10.7 x optical zoom. Does anyone know of a web site that shows the same picture taken with both to show the difference. Also i have memory cards for my old finepix, will they work in the new one?
If they are xd cards then they will work fine. Just format them when you put them in. I don't know of a website that has examples from both cameras but I'll have a search for you.
I have a Fuji FinePix F810 widescreen LCD.When I upload presentation pictures to our web page the quality is poor. Some people appear as if they are missing teeth ect. Is it something to do with compression or camera set up. Joe Quinn
If the photos are ok straight from the camera but look odd when you post them online then it's almost certainly the compression when you convert the photos for the web. I usually choose to resize using 72ppi and about 1000 x 800 pixels or 800 x 640. That will usually give a good result.
