I have 1 4GB card and a bunch of 2GB. I also have some smaller cards left over from when memory was expensive and pixel counts were low. Most of my cards are SanDisk Extreme IIIs and I've always found the reliable.

What Andrew said - D200 and S5 are the same (physically they are the same camera but the sensor is different and so's the firmware). D80 uses different shape memory.

Up to you - that's what I ended up with but like I say I'm easily confused and having 2 identical bodies means I only have to learn one set of controls.

This is a bit complicated.... "Digital Lenses" are optimised to work with digital chips (it's to do with how the light strikes the photo receptors...). Any lens that you can fit to a Nikon digital camera will have a 1.5X crop factor. It's almost like it's 1.5 X as long (but a bit more complicated...). This is purely to do with the sensor SIZE - if you fitted a 35mm lens to an APS film SLR then you would see the same effect. Likewise if you could fit a 35mm lens to a medium format camera it would seem "shorter" because the sensor size is bigger.
Canons have different sensor size depending on the model - so the crop factor is between 1 and 1.6. For a 4/3s camera like the Olympus the crop factor is 2.
