Yes, but which is which? Did you go Old -> Young, or Young -> Old?

A few mouse clicks and it's all done for you by Portrait Professional, but I don't see the point in totally overdoing it. Portrait Professional is an excellent piece of software if used correctly.

This image has been rejuvenated from old to young Alan! This was just for fun Harry to see how far I could take it? I do agree with you that Portrait Professional is a lovely tool to use!
Oh yes, just an after thought Alan. If I was guilty of turning an attractive young woman digitally into an old woman? And I am not saying that that isn't possible? Who in a right mind would post it and not reap the consequences from it, lol?
Agree with you 100% Sylvia. Alan didn't put a smiley at the end of his post but I assume he was joking
Yes, I was joking, but it shows just how good the retouch process can be that theoretically you can't tell one from the other. I think we should investigate Portrait Pro further... does anyone else agree?

I installed this software approx 12 months ago, I think I've used it on two occasions, so really apart from playing with it and admittedly having a little fun, IMO it's a waste of money. Unless of course you're seriously into portraiture, and even then it should be used judiciously. Should we remove all imperfections from a "face", reshape the nose, eyes and mouth, personally I don't think so. "I think we should investigate Portrait Pro further... does anyone else agree?" Having already done that, I would say no, but of course other members may be interested. Let's hear what they think

The only thing I don't like about Portrait Professional is, I bought it over the net and I do have the copy of the software. But because I haven't a computer of my own at the moment and I so much wanted to use this on the other computers in my house, which belong to the family and I do have an account on them. I am not able to upload it on them. I do appreciate that the company want to protect their software from pirate copies and it isn't that expensive to buy. But I don't want to have to pay for the privilege of using it again? That is something to consider for anyone who has several computers and are interested in purchasing it?
Are you sure about that Sylvia?, I installed it on both my PCs.
I don't know how you've done it? When I've tried to upload it, and put the key in, it would say this key already is activated and therefore is invalid.

Sylvia, it's 12 moths since I did it. I've got to go out for the day, but will try it on the laptop when I get back home.
Thank you Harry, I appreciate that very much! I have to get busy now too

Sylvia I've just a a quick check of my version, this appear to be 2 versions out of date, so maybe they've changed their policy. How about raising a ticket with them and asking the question. Will still check it out this evening. Harry

I am fully with you about raising this issue with that company. I also should mention, that when the key is being rejected that there is a chance to put the key in manually with the computer ID. But my concern is, how many times would I be allowed to do that until they say the key has already been validated on two computers? I am waiting for mine to be build and just don't want to take that chance to be honest. But I would be interested at your findings and maybe I've missed something somewhere? As for your out of date version, I think you can upgrade it with no problems what so ever in the help box? Sylvia

I dabbled with it more than a year or so ago when it was just released. I thought it very powerful and suitable for quick fixes. I would however not use this programme to paying clients for the fear of insulting them with having"doctored" the pcture. I found that the results from the programme were always a bit much and you could see at the end that editing had taken place. I have only used the very first trials of this program and they might have bettered it in later versions. I just feel that doing it the long way in photoshop has infinetely more control and you can decide on the "doctoring" quantity. BTW the picture "Before and After" is really nice Sylvia, I would think a series from old to young in four or five stages with four of five pictures would be a fun subject. I'm open minded about giving it a review, Not for me unless it is improved a lot.

I've the software on my pc and I don't use it much either..I think its great but photoshop can do most of it but takes longer..The only thing I've used it for much is smoothing out complexions, especially teenage spots....I also agree that its very powerful and is easy to spot unless you're very carefull Sharon

This was a fun experiment and once I get my own computer up and running I have plans to use this program in creating art effect work. Unfortunately not everyone can afford to buy Photoshop or spent hours at a time to create the desired effect they want? This program is so easy to use and the controls are just as easy to be as subtle as you like, or to go and take it to the extreme? This was only a demo image that came free with the program and I made use of it to see what can be done? Portrait Profetional certainly is miles cheaper then paying for something that will cost you hundreds of pounds such as Photoshop? Also, I have taken it a lot further to smooth out the lines in Paintshop with the make-up brush and coloured her hair as well as softened and darkened the background in paintshop pro. It is an alternative to other programs and it is very useful to have too. It saves models to ware piles of make-up which already makes them look artificial, I just can't see the difference?

Sorry Simon, I forgotten to reply to your kind feedback on Before and After work, and thank you for your lovely compliment! It would be nice to find willing volunteers for me to use as models and do as you've suggested and create a set of four of Before and After effects
