Blimey... that was quick! To quote Philip Madoc "Your name vil also go on zer list". Well done, you're in. Now if the other two agree, we have some Sony fun to follow...

Alan, I'll be out of the country from May 24 to June the 9th. Two sunny weeks in he Carribean, hope this does not exclude me from the Foamy Sony Shoot Hoot. Harry

No... you will just need to play catch-up. Sadly, we can't get them out earlier otherwise you could comment from the Carribean. You could have written a feature about travel photography, too!

Note to self Stjohn - always stay logged into thinkcamera.com ! I've been enjoying reading this discussion for a while. Don't have enough ability to put myself forward but I just wanted to say I'm really looking forward to seeing your photos and comments guys. Good luck with it all, it's a new interesting take on a camera review. and sorry about your pants stjohn........

Jo said "Don't have enough ability to put myself forward" That's the BIGGEST understatement I've read on here yet! If you ain't got it Jo, heaven knows who has.

Thanks Woody, but I'm a point and press girl! If you need to know what speed I took a photograph at I'm more than likely to say 'Well I stay very still so I don't move the camera about.' I have no idea what settings I use when I take my photos so to do a blog and to advise people how to get the best out of the camera would be more like a 'diary of a working mum with a photo thrown in for fun.' (Does that rhyme.......?)

Hi Alan (you aren't that Keith Johnson, are you? The one that used to keep llamas and run Keith Johnson Photographic back in the 1980s? If you are, yes I was that guy from Pelling + Cross who drank your good scotch, asked your wife if she fancied a quick merger and then vomited in your icebox. Sorry). No thats not me, but it looks like my nanesake has all the fun. I would like to give the Foamy Sony Shoot Hoot a go.
Well good luck you three sounds like you have some busy times ahead, and we will be here waiting to see brilliant pics along with some good reading on your findings.
Well we can only try Lesley
Exciting times ahead! Feverish with anticipation - it's kind of like spending loads of money on stuff and waiting for it to arrive. Without the spending loads of money bit... Guilt-free shopping

Give me chance get up from working nights. See email log on to enter for the chance and find i am alreay to late. A bit pointless putting it in the weekly email. Woody glad the fishings going better after clattercaotes. You were about to chuck it all in. If you get one it might at least take the disapointment of not getting your hands on Marsbars D300
Marsbar can shove his D300 where the sun don't shine, Bryan. He didn't bring it last time because, he said, "I had too much to carry anyway." What a load of old pony. I must have either shamed him last time with all the excellent (better than his) photos I took on it (especially of Stu Dexter) or he really was afraid I'd nick it for keeps this time. Truth is Bryan, I withdrew my name. I have just bought a Oly 510 and I'm getting used to that. Lovely little camera despite what the critics say about it. The Sony? Well, if it were the 350 then I would like to see it, but no sense being greedy is there.

I am in the process of looking for a new DSLR as my Fuji has just given up the Ghost and Fujifilm want £99 to repair it. Going on holiday on the 6th June to the wonderful island of Menorca and with this new DSLR you are going to loan me i will send you some of the best photos you have seen and they will be so good you will then tell me to keep the camera.
Hey, where have I been all of this time, lol? OK, I have missed out on this occasion, but maybe I can be a little bit more on the ball for the next play
I'd have been willing to play. Have extensively used partner's A200, and an A-mount regular with my KM5D. Should be nice to have an ergonomics comment that doesn't feature the words "doesn't feel like (my own) and therefore isn't as good as....." Therefore, anyone using the above will be taken out and pelted with 450Ds!

please count me in. I have got Sony on my radar along with Nikon for when I step in & go DSLR. Canon is too popular & too quick to bring out minor model upgrades

Canon is too popular & too quick to bring out minor model upgrades Strange comment to make David. since Aug 2005 Canon brought out 6 new DSLRs. Against Nikons 8 DSLRs since 2006 3 of these cameras D40, D40x and D60 are just minor upgrades.
