Suggestion for the voting system - shortlist by the editorial staff then for each round they can randomly select 20-30 members to be the voters for that round with the proviso that every picture in the shortlist is considered and voted on, if they have made the shortlist surely they would deserve at least a 1 from the judge. Just an idea Geoff

As to some of the issues surrounding the home page and the need to regularly update it... I agree. And things are getting lost on the home page too regularly. Unfortunately, we are EXTREMELY short handed at the moment. Mike's moved on to new things and until recently I thought HTML was an embarrassing infection you got from not washing your hands properly. So, for the moment bear with us. Well, me. Mike will still be posting up the end of his epic tome on Photoshop at one remove for a while, but the rest of it will be put together on a wing and a prayer. And I'm all out of wings.

Where's Mike moved to? He said he was going to give us his news but that post never happened...
Oh, you'll find him popping up as a website editor of a few professional photography titles, the ones that appear on a monthly basis and maybe the ones that end up with you asking which digital camera you would buy... that kind of stuff.

I know its off the subject but did not want to start a whole new thread for one question. I have tried to upload a photo for my profile and followed the instruction (a Jpeg less than 12kbs) but it does not show. However, it does apear on my inbox so the photo is somewhere just not on my profile. Can anyone help is there a tick box or something I am missing to make it visible to others??

Roger, I've either fixed this, or broken it! If the former - hurrah! If not, you might need to post your profile again. But I think it's fixed. It's a security measure to prevent people posting up images in compromising positions, I think. Not that any ThinkCamera people would do that, but there's always those FishingMagic types, not to mention VisorDown, AV Review, ThinkBaby (they're the worst... it's all drunken brawling and photocopied dangly bits over there), GolfMagic, OutdoorsMagic, ThinkOutdoorsBabyCameraMagic, VisorMagic, FishGolf Review and all the rest. Plus, there's all those people from the Magicalia magazines, like What Dibber, Squirrel User, Paintpot Enthusiast, Steam Iron Times and so on...

Alan posted "but there's always those FishingMagic types," Look here. My pictures are always top quality if at times a little risque, but I can assure you that it's all done in the best possible taste.

Could I please have my new profile picture uploaded?
Is it suitable? I mean - is it ? or is it ? or maybe ? Or simply ?
Lol, we will probably never know?
It is this one Woody, what do you think?

who did some work on your cheek, looks like they removed hair using PhotoShop?
Sorry Wally, if you mean my picture? I didn't use any software to remove hair from my cheek? I just had a really good close shave before I photographed myself

O.K. What I said was very much "in cheek", and it's nice to find your sense of humour. How does one send a picture with this message?
In the box that you type in has several symbols. Before the spellchecker, which I always have to use, is a picture of a tree. You click that one and select where you want to get your image from? You haven't got any in your portfolio, but you can choose to upload one from your own computer, as long as it is 250 or less in size? If you upload one with a message? It will also automatically save it in your own portfolio.
